"Hello engineers I am Vaibhav you are reading the post of electrical Zindagi it's a part of Shri Raadhe studies"

Friends, today's post is going to be very important for you, because on this post today, we are going to answer a very important question related to electrical Transducer kya hota hai |  Types of Transducer |  Block Diagram of Transducer |  Need of Transducer |  We are going to talk about Application Of Transducer, this question is asked in your electrical interview, as well as if you are studying electrical engineering, then it can also be asked in your semester exam, so read this post till the end and share it with your friends.  Will share together.

So let's learn something new today...

What is Transducer?

Transducer kya hota hai?

Transducer क्या होता है?

Transducer kya hota hai: Many times the value of physical quantity like temperature, pressure etc. has to be shown through graph. In this situation physical quantity is measured through cathode ray oscilloscope CRO but the problem here is that cathode ray oscilloscope  In such a situation, the physical quantity can be measured through a cathode ray oscilloscope by converting it into an electrical quantity through a transducer.

That is, "Transducer is a device that converts physical quantity or mechanical quantity into electrical quantity."

Note - The output of the signal depends on the register inductive and capacitance effect of the physical input.

Example - Sensor, Microphone, Loudspeaker etc.

Blocks are represented in this....

  1. Sensor
  2. Signal Conditioning Unit
  3. Data Representing Device

Sensor: Sensor is a type of device that measures the change of physical quantity like temperature speed, level, pressure etc.

Both the input and output of the sensor have non electrical quantities.

Signal Conditioning Unit: This unit is used to convert the non-electrical quantity received by the sensor into electrical quantity.

Example - Analog to digital converter, Amplifier, Filters, Rectifier, Modulator etc.

Data Representing Device: This device is used to represent data.

Example - Scale, CRO, CRT, LCD monitor etc..

Types of Transducer

  1. Primary and secondary Transducer
  2. Active and passive Transducer
  3. Analog and Digital transducer
  4. Electrical and Non Electrical transducer/ Transducer and Inverse Transducer

Primary and secondary Transducer:

Active and passive Transducer:

Active Transducer: This type of transducer does not require external energy source like thermocouple, solar cell to operate

Passive Transducer: This type of transducer requires an external energy source to operate.

Analog and Digital Transducer:

Analog Transducer: The output of this type of transducer is analog such as Straingauge, LVDT, Thermocouple, Thermistor etc.

Digital Transducer: The output of this type of transducer is in digital form.

Electrical and Non electrical Transducer/ Transducer and Inverse Transducer:

Electrical Transducer: This transducer converts physical quantity into electrical quantity like LVDT

Non Electrical Transducer: This transducer converts electrical signal into non electrical signal like Piezo Electric Transducer

Need of Transducer

  1. Amplification of electrical quantity is easily done as compared to physical quantity.
  2.  The chances of error in the electrical signal are very less.
  3.  Instruments that measure electrical signals require very little power to operate.
  4.  Electrical signals can be transmitted from one place to another very easily.
  5.  Instruments that measure electrical signals take up very little space as compared to other instruments.

Application of Transducer

  • To create the waveform of a physical signal.
  •  In the field of metal detection.
  •  To detect machine operation in industry.
